Help me I am head over heels

So I finished the book while sitting in the Sauna and thought the book will be plenty till I am done with the session; Well I was wrong. It has been a while since I ran through a book like that. At first I tried reading it only a few minutes before sleeping but I wanted more. So after Uni I took the book and sat down for 2 hours.... 250 Pages later I surfaced again and realized that the book is perfection. 2 days later I luckly ordered the second book (Iron Flame) and read the last page (which ended in a huge cliff hanger).

I really enjoyed that the story was written from the perspective of Violet, a woman who suffers from a genetic condition similar to the Ehlers-Danlos-Syndrom because of which she displays hypermobility in her joints which leads to a few troubles as her joints pop out easily. To see such a female character not just beat the odds but excell in every possible way is wonderful and truly beautiful.
This book is truly feminist and fully "woke" as some people might say. While being non discriminatory it doesnt lay its focus upon it but just accepts it as the status quo and I love it.

Back in my youth I read alot of romance fantasy but I completely forgot how much I love it and havent ready fantasy / romance in over 5 years so this was a proper adventure. This story is very well thought out and keeps you on your toes. Like always you clinge to the thought that the main character (Violet) hast to survive till the end of the series but the author definitly lets you question this thought. You really feel like the characters live through all the challenges thrown at them and you feel as if you are observing their life as they change infront of you. The feeling of success and the joy of you favorite character surviving is amazing and scary at the same time.

I have already described the book as worse then Netflix; You try to read one more chapter and accidently read a hundred pages.

Spoiler I wanted to write a bit more about the lovestory and the story development in general: as a whole the book is just another coming of age story in a college / school. While similar to Harry Potter it is notably more grown up and shows promise as a new classic. I really **loved** the story of _Xaden_ and _Violet_ they went through the whole story arc together and while I hated him in the beginning I started to fall in love with him the same time _Violet_ did. His roughness and yet his care showed his intricate character designe and made him unpredictable. While _Xaden_ went more and more into the good graces, _Dain_ just exposed himself as the rule following suck up he is. I was able to resonate with _Xaden_ and _Tairn_ and loved the depiction out of _Violets_ perspective, I just hope that this story keeps on going forever. All the revolution / rebellion also leads to me thinking about the intricate details of the world and how very few people shape the view and opinion of millions of "users".
