Therapeutic targeting ERRγ suppresses metastasis via extracellular matrix remodeling in small cell lung cancer by Hung Wang et al.

Part of my application for JLU TRAINEE included a paper analysis and I choose this paper by wang et al. which was published last year and has found a very interesting correlation between metastasis of small cell lung cancer and the overexpression of estrogen related receptor gamma. Through multiple analysis methods they showed that the number of metastasis correlates to the amount of ERRγ which was expressed. Furthermore they suppressed ERRγ with the pharmacutical DN200434 which showed high efficacy in reducing metastasis.

I was convinced it would be a pretty annoying task to discuss this paper but it read nicely and was very intresting and intriguing. It did give me hope that a new treatment for SCLC is on the horzion and might stop this raging disease.
